Engineer
Position: Salaried; Full-Time
Responsibilities:
Responsible for design, implementation, analysis, and documentation of flight simulator software for aircraft systems. Develop and execute flight simulator verification plans and test procedures. Recommend and incorporate alterations to new and existing designs and relevant documentation. Participate in engineering design evaluations.
Skills:
Proficiency in C and FORTRAN required; C++ and Ada desired.
Proficiency in Gould and Harris Assembly desired.
Experience working with Unix/Linux Operating Systems desired.
Strong understanding of aircraft aerodynamic static and dynamic coefficients, aircraft static and dynamic stability, aircraft performance, six degree-of-freedom flight dynamics, linear and non-linear control systems, and flight control systems.
Knowledge of aircraft systems to include but not limited to: hydraulics, flight control systems, flaps/slats, landing gear, and propeller/turbofan/rotary wing propulsion.
Adept at solving complex problems with limited relevant data.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Can work independently with little guidance or supervision.
Years experience:
Minimum 2 years experience in related field.
Education:
Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
